About

History of Marin Ranch Camp

We have crafted a traditional summer camp experience that is focused on fun and adventure, while always operating within a safe and secure program. Our “secret sauce” continues to be our loving counselors who return year after year because they love our campers. You will find them leading a hike through the redwoods one minute and then jumping into the lake with their campers in hand the next minute.

We’re pleased to have partnered with the Marin County Office of Education and the Walker Creek Ranch Outdoor Education Center located in West Marin. This stunning 1,700 acre property, which is owned and operated by the MCOE, boasts 20 miles of hiking trails, a four acre lake, an organic garden, and a vast array of ecosystems for campers to explore with their counselors. And being less than 90 minutes away from San Francisco, children get the experience of living in the woods without ever having to leave the Bay Area!

Our Philosophy & Core Values

At Marin Ranch camp, our mission is clear: to connect children with the natural world while building lifelong friendships and memories.

Everything we do is intentional and driven by our core values of Friendship, Adventure, Community, Tradition & Safety (or as we like to call them, “just the F.A.C.T.S.”).

While we offer all of the fun, traditional camp activities like canoeing, archery and sitting around the campfire roasting s’mores, our program goes much deeper than that. Our loving and well-trained team of counselors create a nurturing environment where campers feel safe to step outside of their comfort zone, challenge themselves with new adventures and make new friends. Campers actively create and participate in the tradition that only sleep-away camps can offer.

Many parents often share with us their fond memories of going to summer camp as a child. And we at Marin Ranch Camp are honored to be able to share that same tradition and experience with our campers!
